After the footings were poured they started on the foundation walls. The garage is being built into the hill so 2 of its walls are poured. The basement walls are 10 feet then there will be a 12 inch (or more) truss on top.  So the total height from the main floor to the basement floor is about 11 feet. To put is simply, it is so many feet from the main floor to the lake. Do we want the steps inside the house or outside the house? I elected to put as many inside as possible!
