I decided early on that I did not want the pre-made shower/tub enclosures. I have found that if you ALWAYS squeegee a shower after use, it stays remarkably scum free, mold free and clean. But this is hard to do with those pre-fromed enclosures with all their curves, nooks, and formed shelves. So, in addition to the master shower, I elected to have all enclosures tiled. This amounted to a total of 3 showers and one bathtub including the master shower. Of course deciding on the tile was particularly difficult. Daltile is one brand that has a large USA manufacturing presence, and after chasing around a bit, I found they had a showroom in Green Bay where they had samples of all of their products. After about 5 visits, and the help of Breanna Reed of HJ Martin, I settled on the tile. (this was all pre-Covid-19).
Main floor guest shower - Daltile Esta Villa "Terrace Beige"
Outside sauna - partially installed
Outside sauna finished. Shaw Current "Niagara Crush"
Lower level tub surround - in progress
Tub surround finished - Daltile Exquisite "Silverstone"
The master shower is a zero step walk-in. Tile is Daltile Cotto Contempo "Pennsylvania Ave" with accent of Daltile Cotto Contempo "Wall Street" and Angora Mini Pencil "Antique Bronze".
Entrance to master shower - towel hooks on left
Controls are on the outside so can turn on with out getting wet. This is the type of valve that once the temperature is set, it stays and you just turn on the water
Main shower section with bench and grab bars
Inside actual shower looking toward exit. Bench is behind and to the right
Exit - taken whie standing on the bench
And finally, I decided to tile the main floor fireplace with the same tile that is in the back hall - Daltile Brickwork.
