January 30, 2020. Two big semi tractors with flatbed trailers arrived from Wisconsin Building Supply, Green Bay, with the framing material.

IMG 2874Big flatbeds - how to turn around??? Putting chains on tractorIMG 2879Oops - a bit too tight a turn.IMG 2881That's better! The last time a big truck delivered materials, he backed all the way down the hill and turned around at the boat landing. This day the hill was very slippery and that would have been a catastrophe

Friday, January 31, the floor trusses arrived. I wasn't there to see the truck turn around but he must have been succsessful!! The trusses are manufactured in Green Bay by Wisconsin Building Supply and there are a total of 12 different lengths & heights. I am curious to see where each goes. I was told that the design of the house makes for a bit of a challenge for the trusses and we are using several interior basement walls for support. If you go back to the "More Foundation" blog, you can see where extra footings were poured for the load bearing walls.
